SAKRETE Flo-Coat
SAKRETE Flo-Coat is a polymer modified, resurfacing material that requires only the addition of clean water. This product is for resurfacing concrete walks, slabs, driveways and patios. It can be applied in a flowable consistency using a squeegee, or in a stiffer consistency using a trowel. Designed for applications from 13 mm (1/2”) down to a feather edge.
- Flowable material; easy to apply
- Ready-to-use; just add water
- Use to rejuvenate old concrete surfaces
- Alternative to expensive concrete replacement
- Polymer modified for superior bonding strength

FAQ
Use only when the product, air and surface temperature are above +10 °C (50 °F) and remain for a minimum of 24 hours.

18.1 KG (40 lb) yields approximately:
- 6.7 m² (72 ft²) at 2 mm (1/16 in) deep
- 1.7 m² (18 ft²) at 6 mm (1/4 in) deep.
Resurfacing material must be fully cured (approximately 28 days) and dry before painting. Refer to paint manufacturer directions for application instructions.
When temperatures are above +32 °C (90 °F) spray with a fine mist for 24 hours. Protect from freezing for a minimum of 24 hours. Protect surface from rain for 8 hours.
Curing means maintaining proper moisture and temperature. Allow newly placed material to set until the surface is hard to the touch. Under most conditions SAKRETE Flo-Coat requires no special curing.
For a textured finish, use a broom in complete strokes over the surface after SAKRETE Flo-Coat stiffens but before final set. To build up the application thickness, use additional thin layers after each layer cures for 24 hours.
Dampen the surface with water. Pour the mixed material onto the surface and spread it with a long-handled squeegee. If squeegee marks are evident, drag a stiff bristle broom over the material immediately after using the squeegee. If done when the SAKRETE Flo-Coat is still fluid, this will evenly blend the material together. Do not allow the material to spill into expansion joints and control joints, as these should be preserved with tape or other means.
One 18.1 KG (40 lb) bag requires approximately 3.3 L (3.5 qt) of clean water. First, add most of the water to a 20 L (5 US gallon) bucket. Then, pour the powder into the bucket and mix with a high-torque, variable-speed drill using a paddle mixer attachment, running at low rpm to avoid splattering. Mix for approximately 2 minutes, adding remainder of the water as needed. Let the material sit for 1 minute, then finish mixing for another minute to a lump-free, pourable consistency. Excess water reduces strength, durability, bonding and can cause cracking. Use cold water to slow the set in hot weather.

DO NOT USE WITH A BONDING AGENT.
The substrate must be sound, clean, hard, and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, paint, sealers, curing compounds and other materials that will interfere with the bonding of the new material. Pressure washing is recommended with a 17 MPa (2500 psi) pressure washer. Prior to the application, fill any cracks and pitted or deteriorated areas with SAKRETE Flo-Coat, mixed to a trowelable consistency (8 parts powder to 1 part water, by volume). Allow any repairs to set before resurfacing begins.
